Flu again

Xavier caught a flu and cough and can't make it to his playgroup again. Mummy just hope that he recovered in time for his HK trip this Friday. He is still so energetic, the medicine is suppose to make him drowsy but it doesn't seemed to work on him.

Meet up Wendy & Zach and Cherie Adrienne at Polliwogs at East Coast. Mummy is so glad that Daddy is in charge of chasing Xavier around because it is so tiring!

Like Cherie mention, the pro of this place is the fee is reasonable for weekdays, but the cons are no one is around to make sure the cleaniness of the place at all. There is only 2 person at the cashier collecting money, not much food for the adults except from the vending machines and the toilet only had 2 cubicles!

But never the less, Xavier does have fun playing there that he wasn't ready to go home. He was nervous at first but slowly he warms up and had fun at the ball pool. The indoor playground was like fun, but more for older kids, later afternoon there is more people and harder for small toddlers to play.

Mega Bloks

Finally, Xavier know how to stack the mega bloks. These blocks are a bit too lose and always fall off when he hold them up, mummy will consider getting lego for him for Xmas or bithday present.

His favourite action is to pour out the mega blocks way high up from the bag, and the pieces fell all over the floor. BIG MESS!! Then game over, he is off to another activities until mummy keep them in the bag again. Another activity he like is for mummy to stack everything together and he work hard to tear everything apart.

Hi-5 Live in Singapore

This is Xavier first concert. Since he always like Hi-5 so much, mummy decided to join Aunt Morraine and her friend to this concert. Xavier is over all very well behave, sit still for the full 45 mins and only start to move around the last 15 mins becos he wants to drink the mineral water that mummy buy.

In fact, mummy felt that Xavier had sit too still on his seat when the lights were off for the show to start. Mummy does wonder if he is scare or not. He seldom blink and just keep staring at the stage. Anyway there is too much talking and not much singing, so mummy doubt he really understand.

New Toy and New Clothes

Xavier loves the stacking toy that Mummy buy for him at Isetan. Mummy realised that at this stage he still prefer puzzle kind of games, he don't like soft toys and can't be bothered with them. Boys are still boys.

Mummy digged out the clothes that she buy for Xavier last sep, now he can put them on already but seemed like a bit small. Mummy kept and forget to let Xavier wear sooner. Oops. after combing his hair, he seemed unusually tidy. :D

Zoophonic Playgroup

Today is Xavier's first day to the Zoophonic Playgroup, and he had to wear uniform! Mummy seemed to be too kiasu and got him an uniform which is too big. :P

This playgroup is 1.5 hrs and 2 times a week. Mummy's objective is to hope that he get to mix around with more people, get less shy and watch less TV. Else he seemed to be doing nothing except watching cartoons at home.

Barney

He would cry if anyone switch channel when he watch these cartoons and could concentrate full 1 hr just watching these cartoons! Mummy is worried that he will turn into a coach potato!

Xavier started to call Ah-Yi in the very teochew tone. Mummy realised that he should have learn that from Daddy on the sunday afternoon when daddy was playing with the aunties for some games of ruby. Daddy keep calling "Ah-yi" after aunty won a few rounds.. Xavier should have learn it from there.

Mummy wonder if she should get Daddy to shout a few times of "Mummy" instead.

Moving in and out

Xavier's favourite past time now is to shift his rice jar in and out of the cabinet and then put them back, the he would clap his hands to indicate that he is a good boy. It had becoming on of his favourite things to do that he had been doing this so much often.

Mummy kind of asked him to help to take out the rice jar when it is time to cook the porriage, and would clap hands when he helped mummy to place them back. Now he is like treating it as a game.

Bored

Xavier should be getting real bored. He started to be more willing to put on the hat, previously he would just pull it off the very seconds that you put it on for him, these few days he had been trying to put the hat on and even ask us to put on for him.

Waffles at Galare

Mummy drove down to Downtown East for Galare Waffles, it is a Tuesday, so that is a 50% discount and we were really bored at home with the 3 technicians walking in and out maintaining the aircon.

Xavier wasn't in one of his best mood when we waited for the waffle to be ready. Imagined that we waited for like 10mins and we finished the whole thing in 3 mins.

Xavier sure enjoy the hot waffles, we gave him a bit of ice-cream but seemed like he only prefer pure vanilla ice-creams.

Holding his own bottle

Xavier finally hold his own bottle and drink his milk right. Previously when Mummy let him hold, he would pull the teat in and out and play with it, spilting milk all over his face. Now finally he is matured enough to know that he should be sucking all the milk inside his bottle first.

Mummy sometimes think perhaps she and granny and over pampered Xavier, we haven't even let him learn how to self feed with a spoon yet.

Vesak Day

Mummy and Daddy brought Xavier to the 佛光山 at Punggol, since a routine for us since Grand Aunties do volunteer work here. It was pretty crowded and we can't even get a parking lot!

Granny buy a lotus for Xavier to wish for his health and drop it into the wishing pool. Mummy and Daddy got Xavier to do it himself.

After that we proceed to 浴佛, it was quite a long queue. Granny and Mummy also helped Xavier to do the procedures to 浴佛.

Daddy and Xavier

This is one of the nights where Daddy is bonding with Xavier.

Today Daddy is teaching him how to play with the "piano" and at the same time hit the keys hard so that it would topple the cubes on top. Xavier was having so much fun that he keep doing it again and again. He kept laughing so loud at the sign of the cubes toppling down. Mummy actually took a video of Xavier laughing, but somehow it was missing. :( Mummy should have delete the video by mistake.

Normally Daddy will play with Xavier after he finished his dinner, normally playing the shape sorters, stacking the wooden cubes and sometimes Xavier's favourite Going-Through-the-mattress-tunnel.

Xavier's Passport

Xavier's passport is ready for collection today! Finally, Mummy and Granny went to ICA early morning to collect my IC and then collect Xavier's passport. I must say ICa is much more efficent now. As we already book an appointment time, Xavier's passport is ready to be collected in just 5 mins of wait time!

But then, this passport only valid for 5 years and should the custom find that the photo doesnt look like Xavier anymore, we had to change the whole passport again! That is quite expensive, and kids change looks pretty fast. And there is no thumbnail captured, so we can't bring him to the express lane when we are at sg custom.

Xavier's Swim

Xavier on his dip, first time in the float! He was drinking the salty water by licking his hands, and dipping his hands in for more.

He quite enjoy himself. And this big float brough him some attention. :P

However, when Daddy carry Xavier out and swing him across the water without watching carefully, Xavier drink some water and start to show fear and refuse to stay in the water by clinging to Mummy. :( He must have feel scare when his face is 1/2 immersed in water.. SIlly Daddy!!

The 2nd day, he refuse to go in the float. only when mummy played and slowly carry him in then he is ok with it. And he refuse to let Daddy come near him too. Wonder if it is due to yesterday incident or because he cannot recognise daddy in his goggles. Mummy played a while to distract him and he start to laugh when he is bouncing up and down in the water.

Later on in the evening, he refuse to go down in the water without mummy. sigh!

Hopefully after sometime he would forget about this fear.

Xavier's Passport Photo

Since mummy is renewing her IC, Xavier might as well have his passport done. Afterall, we are going to bintan soon.

It is not Easy to take a photo of a Toddler!!

First, he refuse to look straight, then he refuse to sit still and then his movements too fast for the digital camera.

Again, apply online for $70, and only can be use for 5 years!!

Stephia's Birthday Celebration

Today is Stephia 3rd birthday celebration over at her house. They were on princess theme, and she is seen in this nice Cinderella's dress. While the older kids are at the studio dancing with the entertainer. This is Xavier first Dip into the pool!!

He sure enjoy this. First he test water at the side of the pool, playing but tapping water at the side. Then when he see 姑姑 and some kids in the pool, he wanted to join in, Xavier keep pointing inside the pool but he only wants mummy to carry and mummy did not bring swim suit!

He refuse to get off the pool, having fun with the water. It was only after 30 mins later, he get tired and be willing to get out of the pool.

After some meal, Xavier started to run round the area, dashing around and walk round and round until Mummy also feel giddy. MIL bring him to the market trolley and he is having fun to be wheel around like a President in Parade - waving around and blowing kisses.

Elmo & Cookie Monster Lunch

After lesson, Mummy and Daddy bring Xavier to have lunch at NYDC Bugis! Mummy had cravings for their mushroom madness pizza. While Xavier had his home cook porriage and some biscuit.

Oh did u see Elmo and Cookie Monster behind having lunch as well? Xavier loves Elmo!

The first thing when Xavier get down his high chair is to get Elmo to come down and play with him.

Lesson at LNT

Mummy and Daddy decided to let Xavier continue his lesson at LNT. Seemed like he always need time to warm up before he is willing to come down and play. In class, he is more calm and know what is expect during the lesson. He seemed to prefer motor skill activities, but sometimes have no patience after 45 mins and will go to the door and wave bye bye.

Mummy is so tempted to get a tent for Xavier so that he can have his own corner. But consider the current living space, I think we have to put this on hold first.

Anyway Xavier is so silly, he was too tall for the little entrance of the tent, but he still insisted to walk out standing straight. With half of his face covered above the door, he push his way, break free the barrier and bounce forward to the carpet floor.. with the tent nearly give way too.

Mummy can't help but feel that it is so funny that why Xavier can't just bend his head when he wants to get out the tent.

My Apple

Xavier munching a whole apple for the first time! He is so happy about it and give big bites after a few tries. He nearly choke on it! But still he become very angry when we try to get the apple back. He started to cry and scream straight away...

Little Helper

This little helper is trying to help mummy with some housework. However, he get distracted easily as well. Xavier is into copying mummy and granny action. He will see what we do and try to follow if it looks interesting.

Now, he will try to pull off his dried clothes off the hanger and put it on the sofa so that mummy can fold them. :D

Xavier also tried to imimiate granny picking up hairs on the floor and throw them into the bin!

Fall

Mummy felt very sad, Xavier had fall right in front of her because he trip over some toys and he bited on his own lips! Now the lips had become so swollen! Part of the lip had peel off and mummy had to remove for Xavier. Fortunately, it had not affect his appetite.

Airport

We were at the airport to send Grandpa back to Sabah.

Xavier had just become more confident to run about, he is so excited over the big space! He is touching everything he can touch.. including glass doors, running away from daddy and mummy when we want to carry him, laughing away like we are playing catching...

We had lunch at Crystal Jade. Xavier loves the scallop porriage - I think this is the start of his picky appetite now. He wants more taste to his porriage these days! When we are out at the restaurant now, we would need to order food like toufu or stream eggs so that he can also eat a bit. Xavier would always want to have a share of what mummy is eating.

Mega Bloks

Grandpa bought this for Xavier. And introduce this to Xavier just when Mummy wanted to feed Xavier. And Xavier had totally lost his appetite and only want to play this new toy!! This is the first time that he started to know the real "meaning" of new toys. He is all excited and wanted to play with it immediately, this is quite different from the past when he just touch touch a bit and take long to warm up and figure out how he want to play it. It used to take sometimes a few weeks before he really explore the new item.

Grandpa only took out a few pcs for him to play, Xavier keep eyeing this bag that he want more. So far, he had learn how to play with the shapes puzzle, matching shapes into the right hole and drop in and stacking blocks. He only how to stack these few blocks together but he don't really know how to press them together. His favourite play is t pull apart everything that mummy had placed together.

Singapore Flyers - Xavier's experience

This is cheeky Xavier first time on the Singapore Flyer. What is Xavier doing in this 30mins of flight?

Xavier is so happy to have the freedom to walk around in a new space without the need to hold hand. He is not bother about the scenery outside or scare of the motion inside the capsule. He is more fascinated by the brochures. He walk round and round and round the seat, snatching the brochures and whatever the adults leave it there while they busy filming, phototaking the scenery around them.

It is so difficult to have a photo with him now because he insisted to come down to the ground and talk on his own. Mummy and daddy will have a more difficult time bringing him out now.

Shoes = Go Out

Ever since we bought this sandals for Xavier, we would normally let him wear them and let him walk about along the cooridoor. When it get often like once everyday, Xavier would automatically take out the shoes from the shoes cabinet, tip toe to fetch his pair of sandles and them bring them to mummy, indicating that he wants to go out for a walk.

Mummy managed to train him to sit down to wear shoes and then he would dash off when Mummy opened the gate. Xavier is not afraid to go far.. he can just walk to the 3rd neighbour door before he turned back and check if mummy had followed him. He would then refuse to turn back because turning back means going home. Mummy tried to "u-turn him to way home, and he will turn the other way and start walking quickly.

Now, he could even helped us to keep shoes in the cabinet.

Medicine not enough

Mummy caught the cough from Xavier too. Decided to go GP with Xavier as well as the cough is still so persistent. So Xavier had another 3 more medicines, he is suppose to stop the PD medicine and continue this GP one. And he refuse to eat these medicines! Mummy came to realised PD medicine must have taste better (since they are all so expensive) while GP one are perhaps more yucky.

We had to force the medicine down on Xavier sometimes but he would let Daddy feed him with medicine - maybe because he never expect Daddy to feed medicine to him anyway. Mummy had always be the bad person.

After falling sick for like 1 week+, Xavier appetite had dropped a lot! And of course, he had slim down a bit.

Very Bad Week - 23 March - 27 March

Mummy had been extremely busy and had not been blogging since Xavier fell sick.

This is a very very bad week.

23 March
It started off when Xavier had been coughing non-stop and it had been quite some time. Then he also start to have some symptom of running nose So mummy brought Xavier to the PD and managed to have a cough medicine and flu medicine from the doctor.

25 march
The coughing refuse to stop and somehow Xavier started to have fever. Mummy bring him back to the doctor again. Now we have 1 bottle of anti-biotics and fever medicine.

26 march
The fever get better but he started to have diarrhea. Back to the doctor for a medicine again.. *sigh*

The whole week seemed to be running around from PD to home, while Xavier is extremely cranky and sticky. Other than that, he seemed to be more willing to take medications. Which is a much much better experience for mummy and daddy. We hate to force the medicine down his throat. It is so much easier when Xavier willing open his mouth and swallow the medicine.. we just have to quickly let him have sips of water. Mummy and Daddy is so proud of Xavier.

BIG ball

This is a ball that Grandpa buy for Xavier. It is way too big! So Xavier would normally carry this ball with both hands and push it around. If he would try and throw it, he would kind of fall backward on his bum instead. LOL He also treat the space between the coffee table and TV as his goal post.

Another of his favourite activity is to Ba and Ba at the ball with his mouth.

Xavier loves to flip books, actually he can recognise different book, especially little piggy book. Xavier would normally bring the book to mummy once mummy start to read aloud. He know ABC book as apple book, because that is the first thing on the page. Now this is the body book. Mummy noticed that the book would actually take some time for him to take interest and want to flip it every now and then. Some books takes like 1-2 mths before it become his favourite book. He would loves mummy to read to him, he normally bring the book to mummy and went "ng.. ng.. ng.." Xavier alo prefer board books to cloth book. There is already a few books wher he kind of "over flip" and tear off. Mummy had to paste them back in scotch tapes.

Xavier want to sleep & need a new Pram

Xavier want to sleep but can't sleep. Mummy broke Xavier's pram and now it cant be lean back properly. It kind of drop to flat position whenever Xavier pulls the backrest.

Anyway, we are at Central again, looking at clothes. Granny bought Xavier an Elmo because Xavier loves Elmo. - he can stand in front of the TV to watch "ELMO WORLD" every weekday at 9.30pm. He loves the song too, mummy had the song in her HP. It makes him smile everytime when he hears it.

Back to the story, so what is Xavier doing here? Because Mummy, GuGu and Granny are looking at clothes and trying them out while Daddy push him around. Xavier got so bore, he played with his pacifier and hug Elmo once a while to sleep.

Frastrated

Answer: He just want to get out of the high chair and he wants sleep too. This is one of the rare nights that we are out so late with him.

Mummy think she had give her too much ice-cream today because he seemed to be coughing a bit.

Visiting Aunty Becky House

Xavier loves the massage stick. He walked all around Aunty Beck house with it, he is still wobbly and fell right on the coffee table and got a bruise on his head. (fortunately he didn't hit his eyes). He kind of like to explore everything, especially opening of drawers.

Xavier is trying to catch my attention while Mummy using the PC. For your information, he hates mummy to usePC, he would make noise and pull mummy by her pants and t-shirt. He would rather mummy watch Tv programmes while he walked around and played with his toys alone. Mummy always find it very weird.

This time round, Xavier try to be a moo moo cow.. Mummy wonder when is Xavier teething soon, he is back to the habit of putting things into his mouth again.

New Toy & Playing Habit

Mummy got this new toy - Walker cum Car for Xavier to learn how to walk. A bit too late because Xavier already walking a few steps. Anyway it was quite a good buy, just $20, the condition was very good like brand new.

Xavier only know how to push around but he don't know how to sit on it and ride like a car yet.

Xavier also loves to throw toys behind his back and empty his toy basket for the sake of emptying. He create a huge mess, once mummy and daddy place everyting back, he would throw everything out again. Sometimes he would help to keep his toys but after a while he would pour everything out again.

Dinner time for Xavier

Dinner time, as usual Xavier is taking porriage. Recently he had this bad habit of rubbing his face and pressing his nose flat. This will normally happen if he feels tired, or refuse to continue his meal. He keep sticking his fingers inside his mouth and drool but mummy cant find cant growing tooth.

Xavier walked more than 2-3 steps now, getting more and more confident. But he still hates to wear shoes.. he would scream when mummy try to wear shoes for him. Now mummy always try to put on shoes for him when we are going out (his favourite thing to do). Hope that he can link wearing shoes to going out and would be more willing to put on the shoes.

Trial at My Gym

Mummy and Daddy brought Xavier to MyGym open house. A small introduction to Mygym courses. It is more on gym - exercises and music and movement. Actually Xavier had great fun, it take times for him to warm up but once he warm up, he is all over the place at MyGym. He loves wild games like swinging on the bar with just own his hands and turning somersault. Xavier can even climb up the slide after much "practise"! It is suppose to be quite steep and slippery!

Mummy was so so tempted to sign him up. The course can be considered a reasonsable pice at $300 for 8 sessions. But mummy decided to hold on first because she already intend to sign Xavier at LNT.

We got ABC blocks - that Xavier shows great interest during the photo shoot at Sean. But end up he only seemed to loves scattering them all over he floor, creating more mess for mummy to clear up.

Also buy Medela Products, 30% off, Xavier seemed to be able to take their bathing products without any problem, and the skin feels so smooth after that. At least no more rough and reddish back after bathing.

Avent also had 20% discount, I buy some teats and bottles to keep. Too bad, didnt see pigeon, else I wanted to buy the toothbrush to start brushing his teeth more decently.

Mother & Baby Fair - Toddler Telematch

Mummy brought Xavier to join the Toddler Telematch at Expo. Actually Xavier was 2nd on the waiting list, but the first 15 toddlers were all around. We walked away at last round of competition. Who knows they announced mummy's name, seemed like they are holding another round ofthe last 2 toddlers.

Xavier is supposed to roll a big ball from 1 end to another (with mummy help) then stack 3 toys together and U-turn back by walking or crawling. Xavier was losing because he walk very slowly while pushing the ball, while the other girl was already at the end, stacking toys. But to mummy surprise, Xavier did a very good job in stacking the toys, he just did it after a demo by mummy. He could have win it as the other girl seemed to have problem doing it.

But then Xavier seemed to have too much fun with the stacking toys, he actually went other lanes to play somemore and refused to come back with mummy.. *faint* In the end, Xavier lost with a consolation prize - XXL huggies pull up.. that need 2 more yrs than can wear.

Today, mummy and daddy bring Xavier for a photoshoot at Sean Lau's studio. Mummy thought that it might be a good idea to bring Xavier to a studio shoot every year. Then he will have a nice series of ablum soon.

Xavier is no longer the good boy like he was when he is 4 mths old. He seemed very angry that we are taking photos of him, with flash lights all around him, keep changing clothes and sit alone. He get irritated, and start to fuss and cry and refused to sit near the props. Mummy feels like she is torturing Xavier.. SIGH

Even Sean said that Xavier was the fastest crawling baby, can't really snap much cos he is either crawling fast, moving fast or looking down playing with toys.. else he wants mummy or daddy to carry. Urgh!

Xavier only 6 outfit change in 2 hours.. wonder how Adrienne can changed to 11 outfits! She was around the same age as Xavier when she took the photos. Mummy hoped that the photos will turn out well, we will only get to see it in 2 weeks time.

First Video Recording

Over at Porta Porta Restaurant, in order to keep Xavier quiet, mummy let him play with her handphone. Xavier went wild, laughing with joy.. he had 3 handphone to play - including GuGu and Daddy's phone. He would scream and cry when he realised that we actually lock the phone. Mummy think he got too excited after being even so many (3) forbidden toys to play..

He managed to unlock the mummy's phone 1)do a audio recording and nearly sent it over to a contact, 2)delete off a contact and 3)do some video-recording.

2nd Trial at LNT

Today trial is on Chinese. There is flash cards, learning with sense of smell - tomatoes sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil and pretend to cook with noodle. Motoring skills like pulling wires from straws, identify blue and yellow and sing songs, identifying what is long and short. We also identify animals in the farm, i like their way of doing as a group, instead of doing it individually, they had everyone paste the animals on the right background on the wall.

Then Mummy realised that perhaps mummy talked to Xavier too much in english, simple command like sit, stand, give back, mummy had to use english so that Xavier could understand. Mummy forget to introduce the same word for Chinese. OOps.. Need to make more effort next time.

Going throu the "Tunnel"

Mummy had been making this "tunnel" for a few weeks but Xavier dun seemed to quite -get what mummy means by going through this mattress-made tunnel. After going through the trial class at GUG, he get the idea of it, getting more confident and it had become his favourite playground.

Trial Classes

Today is trial class day. First we bring Xavier to Little Neuro Tree to attend a Japanese Sessions - learning shapes, numbers, texture, memory, sense of smell, touch and songs. Xavier seemed to b quite attentive during this classroom settings kind of classes. I sat behind him, he seemed more interested if there is music, but he kept looking at other babies when the teacher started to flash a series of flash cards. In 1 hr, there was like 15 activities. And since it was in japanese, we dun quite understand if is good. Next week will be chinese and then english. But I quite like their teaching tools as it was like all made by their own... pretty interesting.

Next we bring Xavier to Suntec for GUG class, before this Daddy let Xavier sit in the kiddy ride and he is so happy and refuse to move away! This kind of kiddy ride seemed to be a nature attraction even for a small toddler.

GUG session is longer - 1.5hrs. Much more on music and play.. Xavier loves it!! The pace is much slower for this classes. They taught an alphabeth and some words related to it. But I don't like the use of green marker that they used to draw on Xavier's hands - I thought it was some easy washable ink, end up it took be quite some time to remove, not very good if Xavier like to lick on his fingers and hands. There is a 5 mins break after the first 45mins - mostly songs and movements. Then some exploration.. trying to go thro a tunnel - it took Xavier quite some time to be willing to go through this cloth tunnel.. have to lure him using a ball. But once he go through it, he happily do it over and over again, faster and faster each time. He smile so happily after that and so proud of himself. Next the teacher mix some colourings into the flour and add water to it. We are suppose to let Xavier feel the texture, but he seemed disguested by the feel of it after the mixture cried in his hand. He made noise and wanna mummy to get rid of it.. lol

Mummy still considering which classes to sign up for Xavier, wait 2 more weeks then decide. :D

Kissable Lips

Out of the sudden, Xavier is back to pout his lips again. mmm perhaps he is unhappy that he is stuck on the high chair. This is now the ONLY place where he would sit still and don't move around. But of course, we need to feed him with some food.

He would seemed to pout his lips when no one wants to carry him. Its so CUTE!

Xavier also knows the routine very well, especially after dinner time. Xavier would wait for daddy to carry after dinner. He would watch tentively for Daddy to wash his hands and clean his mouth in the toilet, then smile to daddy to carry. If Daddy doesn't carry Xavier, Xavier would definately fawn and wanna cry.

He is climbing on everything

Nothing can stop Xavier, he is in the stage where we can't use anything to restrict his movement. Today he had started to climb on the coffee table, then he climb on the coffee table, stand by the playpen at the side of the table, someday he might just try to jump inside from where he is standing. Mummy started to wonder if only boys are so active.

Walk

Finally Xavier is able to stand on his own for longer period of time and he is also able to walk 1-2 steps!!

Favourite TV - Hi5

Every weekday at 11am, Xavier would be ready to watch Hi5. He is so keen into it that even when he is having his favourite bath time, once he hear the music, he would want to get out and go towards the TV, His next favourite show is Elmo!

Then he would also try to "fly" from 1 sofa to another, trying to catch mummy camera. He just loves to crawl from sofa to sofa, coming down by the arm rest or even try to get his legs over the back rest. sigh!

He should be teething his molar teeth, cos he kept digging his mouth with his fingers! And he is back to watching the TV when the music is back again. Mummy just loves his cheek, mummy called it fishballs!

Punishment?

Xavier seemed to loves throwing things around. That includes his toys, he loves to throw it behind his back. Today he went to mess with the socks while Granny is packing up the socks cupboard, as a "punishment" Granny let him wear the socks, he simply hates it! But he loves the attentions that he is having!

Sentosa Flower Festival 2009

Daddy, Mummy and Xavier went out as a family trip to sentosa flower festival 2009!!

The weather was so hot!! We actually went to the beach first before going to the imbiah lookout, wasting too much time at the beach, by the time we were at the main flower festival location, we were all tired out. Mummy got sunburnt, while Xavier was all sweaty and went in and out of his pram. We left the place 2.5hrs later.

Some of the flower decorations are really nice and pretty. We took quite a lot of photos!

Chinese New Year

Xavier actually has 3 pieces of traditional CNY clothes for his birthday.

On the first day of CNY, Xavier worn the traditional CNY clothes given by TL's colleague - Becky. Mummy thought he looked pretty cute but then he really look girlish in the photos.

Xavier kind of enjoy himself, he don't mind taking Angbao from friends and relatives but he refused to be carried by them. He rather crawl all over now, sometimes he even refuse to let mummy and daddy carry.

Here's another CNY clothes which mummy actually prefer. Xavier wears it on the 2nd day of CNY.

Xavier really needs time to warm up, he enjoy playing with the oranges at Gu Po's house. He knows how to place them inside the bag. We tried to hide the bag and he would hunt around for it, looking beside and under the table. :D

Mummy: Time passes so fast, my boy had grown up so much. I can't describe how much how much I thank god for bringing him to me. Xavier had bring so much joy to everyone in the family, there is so much laughters since he is here.

Xavier's First Birthday Celebration

Mummy decided to have a Winne the Pooh bear Theme for Xavier's first birthday.
Mummy realised why Aunty Cherie cant sleep during the day before her ger birthday now. cos mummy also cant sleep!! too stress abt the party, so worry abt the flow and operations.

First the e-invitation is prepare:

then the banners is put up, helium used to pump the balloons, goody bags are packed, balloons bouquets are done.

The buffet are from Neo garden, great to know that there are still great feedback for this caterer. The 3kg pooh bear cake is from pine garden, there is 2 layers, the top is triple layer chocolate and the bottom is lychee martini.

Although at first xavier started to get a bit of clingy when he see so many people in the house. Slowly he started to warm up and played with the kids/toys. Our place is like a mini childcare with the little kids playing at the mat.

Xavier enjoyed himself very much, he keep smiling when everyone start to crowd around and sing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday boy. Mummy and daddy is so glad that everyone is so "on". The song was so loud and clear!!

Hereby, Daddy and Mummy wanna thanks all the guests for their gifts and angbaos and all the help they had provided to make this party possible.

Standing

Mummy caught Xavier standing without support for quite a few seconds. He was "making calls" using his toy phone, too bad that when mummy comes back he already "off the hook". He does this quite a few time today, he should be able to start walking soon.

Did I mentioned before that Xavier loves music and pianos? The first time he touches the piano in his 15 yo uncle house. He loves it so much that he was laughing away as he played the keyboard. Perhaps I could sign him up for piano class soon.

Hand Actions

Interesting Actions
After training Xavier for a while, he knows how to do Gong Xi Gong Xi especially when he hear those CNY songs over the radio. He would also waves his hands and seemed so happy like celebrations!

Then he kinds of feel happy after bring feed and would put his hand together and twist his tummy left and right.. haha it is so cute!!

And somehow he learn to clap his hands when no one teaches him. This is so fun now when he learn things pretty easily.

Not so goody stuff
Xavier loves to throw things and squeeze at narrow spaces to get through the barrier.

He knows which cupboard can be opened when it is not tied up at the handle using rubber band.

He pick on every little things on the floor then to his mouth. OMG!

Another Friend

Mummy and Daddy went lunch with Uncle Wilvan + Family and Uncle Runzhang and family. We have 3 babies, Yumi borned in December, Xavier borned in Jan and Venecia borned in Feb.

Traditional Lunar Birthday

Mummy got Granny help to prepare some traditional stuffs to let Xavier pick during his lunar birthday. Before that we let him have mee sua with eggs for lunch.

We prepared "Ang Ku Guei", drumstick, Abascus, book, pencil and note for him to pick. he was pretty fast, just crawl over and pick the ang ku guei then immediately try to put it in his mouth, it must have taste werid - because he give a werid exprsion, threw it aside and take the drumstick instead. Xavier was sucking the bones, granny tried to lead him to bite the meat but he find it werid.

Finally he decided to pick on the book and flip it. 红龟粿 used to mean those 官印in the past. Now does it means he going to be a minister? lol

Hair cut

New Hair cut for Xavier. Mummy feel a bit of pity that we have to trim Xavier's hair as hios hair didn't go as thick as mummy wanted it to be.

Anyway, Xavier wasnt such a good boy anymore. He is moving around a lot and lose his patience at the end. I even noticedthat the stylist had cut his own fingers. oops.

New Year

This is Xavier's first new Year. He refused to sleep and stayed with us til 12.30am the next day. He must be excited that Mummy, daddy, granny and Gu Gu is having champagne and crackers to celebrate CNY. haha

Yumi's Birthday

Its Yumi's first birthday celebration!

She look so cute and pretty in a princess dress, moreover she can walk around showing off her dress in her party! Her cake was quite yummy from Bengawansolo.. But Xavier is so hard to control these days, he don't want to be carry, he prefer to crawl all over.

Next Mummy went to have some photoshooting with Xavier.

Conclusion: We like the new camera, photos turns out pretty good.

Sick Baby

15/12 - Fever start. Bring to see doctor, was told that will last for 3 days. Fever as high as 39 degree, rushed him to the PD. Fortunately TL was on leave, was told that have to alternate between panadol and burofen every 3 hrly if temperature hits 39 and above.

16/12 Fever continues, Xavier just went very sleepy.. Temperature went as high as 40 degree. We realised that we had to feed Medicine every 3 hrs even if it means that we have to wake him up. Called PD and she told us it was normal as long as it doesnt go up til 41. Stop solid and just fed milk. His temperature just goes up and down every 3 hrly. TL had to take leave to take care of Xavier together, we need 2 person to force him to take his medicine.

17/12 Fever seemed to come down around 38 degree. He seemed more active now, able to play

18/12 Rashes appear on his forehead in the afternoon, rashes started to spread to his back and neck. We rushed him to the neighbourhood PD and realised that he was off for the holiday!! Come back and decided to wait for next day, end up being reprimanded by mil and fil. Checked with neighbours to confirm if this is measle, then got recommended to go to a GP to confirm. Rush over at 9.15pm, confirmed it was German measle (fake measle). No medication except continue with fever medicine.

19/12 Super cranky boy even thro the fever had come down. Very sticky, rashes started to spread to arms and legs.. feel rough.. even face also have it. Mummy heart pain. Appetite is real bad. Already started to lose his baby fats.

20/12 Rashes starts to come down. Xavier is better mood. Phew! But we can't go anywhere for the time being.
